By adopting a cloud based cellular network, mytransport has enabled the radio to become a mechanism to compute and transmit data from the truck itself to the mytransport platform allowing both driver and dispatch, to see in real time, a multitude of data outputs. Many critical delivery metrics, checks and balances and health and safety requirements can now be automated through technology that sends data to the radio, which automatically uploads to the cloud and then becomes visible to driver and dispatcher through the mytransport platform. Reducing the reliance on data entry by the driver for volume and weight measures at loading and/or delivery for example and unleashing complete integration with the existing technology and often unrealised in truck technology. However we have turned the traditional TMS revenue model on its head and we do not charge the transport company we charge a contract management fee to the customer and all savings achieved through the platform are returned to that customer. We have deliberately stayed away from percentages so we aren’t incentivising race to the bottom, price led behaviours. The mytransport platform is a lot more than a traditional TMS.
